I despise guestbooks and forums in all their incarnations. Forums are cesspools for the streaming sludge of meaningless opinions. Even given infinite time, the collective typing on all the forums in the world will never produce the complete works of Shakespeare. And leaving a message in a guestbook is the same as sending a “Dear Editor” letter to a radio station, TV show or newspaper.

This is precisely why I don’t leave public comments—ever, anywhere, under any circumstances. If I feel the need to say something to a project’s authors, I write to them personally.

There’s a post or comment on a forum signed with my name? It’s not me. Anyone can type in my name and electromail address and leave a comment of any degree of inanity. This is something I have absolutely no control over.

If a message signed with my name appears in your guestbook, please delete it.
