Here is a tip. Even Macromedia's tech support couldn't figure out how to make a seamless junction. After much experimentation I finally did it. Use the knife tool with "close cut paths" active and cut inwards towards the center of the circle. Then flip the closed path outwards and you've got the seamless junction I have attached!
