Little has changed here since last time. There isn’t any pond scum in the sea, yet it’s still the colour of cream of broccoli soup.


A plastic old-school washstand hangs touchingly on a plastic porta-crapper.

We discovered an extremely rare type of traffic light made by railwaymen for civilians. It hangs next to a level crossing, as you would expect.


As we were driving out of town I spotted one more reminder about headlights, which served as inspiration for yet another section of “Mandership”.

This time around the trip from Taganrog to Moscow took 14 hours without any pit stops for snacks, but including a thirty-minute nap.
