BelgorodMapMay 4, 2014 A great city in terms of atmosphere. There are tons of people; you can see that it’s full of life. There’s just one problem: the entire city is one big suburb. ![]() It’s amazing how a whole city can be turned into such a shithole. ![]() The architecture here is unbelievably awful. ![]() Absolutely horrendous. ![]() Ridiculously bad. ![]() Corny and provincial. ![]() Museum of Local History And the few traces of architectural heritage that are left (even if they’re just from the mid-20th century) are covered with advertising from top to bottom. ![]() A bus stop. ![]() Another bus stop. ![]() The trash cans here are orange with gray legs. ![]() If there are any benches nearby, the trash cans have to be placed as closely to them as possible, so that anyone who sits down can enjoy the smell. ![]() The city’s only interesting detail is the arched lampposts, which look like showers. ![]() There’s absolutely nothing to see in Belgorod. However, I did discover that, on the roads leading out of the city, there are crosswalks with blinking LEDs set into the pavement in front of the zebra stripes. That’s some sort of achievement, at least. ![]() |
