Tiny Christmas Tales. Part III. LuxembourgMapJanuary 2–3, 2014 Luxembourg is wonderful in January. ![]() The automated free parking system is particularly interesting. You park within the lines, the camera inside the special pillar photographs your license plate, and then a green light turns on for half an hour. When the time runs out, the light on the side of the car that’s been parked too long turns red. As if to say, get lost, your time’s up. And you can’t just pull out and then park in the same spot again—the system already knows your plate number. ![]() It’s not enough to show a thumb pressing the button; you also need an arrow that tells people exactly what to do. ![]() The eye indicates the direction of sight. Look left to make sure you don’t get run over by a bus or a bike. ![]() As we well know, foreigners try to save money on everything, and there aren’t many things they need. So the besplatno (Russian for “free”) Wi-Fi is intended for us. ![]() |
