Yaroslavl

Map

May 22–23, 2005

This green city is a real treat.

There’s a river.

Its avenues are extremely cosy. In fact, the entire old town is cosy. There are lots of beautiful doors.

It has Red.

Red sq.

It has alluring things.

It has interesting rubbish bins.

And flowers.

As well as enigmas.

ATM.

Phonebooth.

Street signs.

Pedestrian street.

Someone forgot to put a comma in the right place. He stands corrected.

Congratulations, my dear...

And only a slouching Lenin points: “Your insulator’s cracked!”

On the way back I was stopped in the middle of nowhere by traffic police. They fined me 50 roubles for operating a motor vehicle without a seat belt.
