October 23–26, 2011

The Chinese stick unbelievably crappy Latin typefaces even onto the facades of giant buildings. Just because they don’t have anything better at hand.

The main element of China’s infrastructure is a sliding gate at the entrance to anything and everything. The gates are usually polished chrome, often with displays.

Many people at the expo are eager to lend Russians a hand.

“Door-to-door” transport logistics

Participant registration takes place in an incredibly antiquated setting. On the plus side, once you get a pass to the Canton Fair, it’s valid for 10 years.

Buyers come here from all around the world. They’re offered an opportunity to buy roasted chestnuts the minute they step out onto the street.

I invite my readers to try and sleep with their feet positioned in this manner.

Christs.

Please don’t copy our design, we just went to a lot of trouble to steal it ourselves.

At restaurants in China, patrons are often given a special cloth sleeve to put over their handbags when they set them down on the chair, so that they don’t get stolen.

Ticket sellers’ booths in the metro are designed to be the same height as all the ticket machines.
