It was a present from Moscow (a similar one was gifted to Warsaw back in the day). ![]() Art Nouveau kitsch. ![]() From above the old town looks a bit like Stockholm. ![]() Pretty pavement. ![]() A plaque with the building’s inventory number survives to this day — everything, including houses, used to have its own USSR ministry of railways inventory number (cf. stairway at the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station). ![]() Hydrant-! and hydrant-?. ![]() |
