Pedestrian call button. Every bit of it is brilliant — the button itself, the design of the control box, the way in which it all attaches to the post. Our two cultures are palpably kindred.

The city has been thoroughly ruined by traffic signs, now all set against a revolting yellow background.

There’s no escaping them.

There is no city left to speak of, only signs.

The Greek traffic police are over the moon. Who gives a damn about everyone else.

On rare occasions, you catch a glimpse of ancient antiquity.

Then back to the yellow signs again.
